COVID-19 UPDATES
We are currently Covid free and are open to visitors. It is not necessary to book appointments and you can visit as normal. No restrictions on children so please bring the residents grandchildren in. There is no restriction on length of visit. We do however require you to have a RAT test prior to your arrival if you feel unwell in any way and of course you must wear a mask throughout your visit.
We thank you again for working with us and your understanding and support as this has been a very difficult set of circumstances that the staff have had to deal with.

Tainui is located in a peaceful, sunny area of Westown, just a short walk to the local shops and cafes, ideal for family outings. Our gardens are a wonderful place to sit and relax, enjoying the sun, colour and friendship of the other residents.
Our carers are lovely, very caring and flexible. They love getting to know you, your family and your likes and dislikes in order to make your day just how you like it to be. To make sure you feel at home and getting the best care we can give, we consult the experts – you and your family. We make sure to make decisions about your care together, so your wishes are always respected.

A relative has had a new lease on life and is well looked after. All her needs are met and she is treated respectfully . Nothing is too much and they are quick to put anything requested into operation. They encourage a family atmosphere and always make visitors feel welcome with lots of smiles from staff.
